Andrii Vladyka was presented with the SCTE Foundation Rising Leader Award 2022. Andrii’s accomplishments are certainly in line with the the theme of the 2022 SCTE® Cable-Tec Expo®

The 2022 Expo was held September 19-22, 2022 in Philadelphia. SCTE is the force behind the annual Expo which brings together the industry’s top thought leaders to provide networking learning focused on engineering innovation, pioneering business insights and transformational emerging technologies.

One of the highlights of the Expo Awards was the presentation of the SCTE Foundation WILT J.
HILDENBRAND JR. RISING LEADER AWARD.

Dr. Rouzbeh Yassini, Founder of the YAS Foundation and initial award seed donor, spoke about his long time friend Wilt Hildenbrand and introduced the 2022 Award recipient, Andrii Vladyka.

”Speaking of the Wilt J. Hildenbrand Jr. Award, the award is presented each year to a rising leader who Rouzbeh Yassini SCTE 2022
has made significant contributions and innovations to the cable industry in their early career in
recognition of the legacy of Wilt J. Hildenbrand Jr. and his contributions to the cable industry. The
recipients of this award personify who Wilt Hildenbrand was. Wilt was known as a leader, mentor, and
dedicated engineer whose innovation and consideration for those in our industry set him apart. In
addition to the award, a donation will be made on behalf of Wilt J. Hildenbrand Jr. to the SCTE
Foundation. And now, let’s learn more about the 2022 recipient of the Wilt J. Hildenbrand Rising Leader Award, Andrii Vladyka.”

Andrii Vladyka, a 2009 graduate of Kharkiv University of Radioelectronics in Ukraine, holds a Master of Science degree in telecommunications. He serves as technical product manager for the Harmonic Andrii VladykaInc. who applauds his accomplishments and acknowledges he has been instrumental in optimizing the operations and deployment aspects of the company’s market-leading CableOS® Cloud-Native Core Platform. He has over 10 years of experience in the telecom industries, including leadership roles with customer-facing and operations-centric engagement and is a two time presenter at the SCTE Expo . The Rising Leader Award recognizes his key contributions to the cable industry, including operationalizing Network Function Virtualization, pioneering vCMTS and cutting edge developments in vOLT and vCPE.

Vladyka states, “I am honored to be chosen for this prestigious award and would like to thank the SCTE Foundation for recognizing me. The cable industry is continuously pushing the limits of technology innovation, inspiring me to focus on virtualized broadband technologies that answer the evolving needs of operators.”

The SCTE Board of Directors established the SCTE Foundation in 2005. The Mission of the SCTE Foundation is to nurture the career skills, opportunities and alliances that build and enable a diverse workforce to positively impact the communities cable serves. Notably to increase the technical, business and leadership skills of the telecommunications engineering workforce, promote technology and engineering in the early stages of education, attract and recruit women and minorities into an engineering career, and underpin cable workforce support for essential and emergency needs.
